Tennis is a game in which Djokovic always wins in the end: Comeback against Rublev to reach the Paris final

Novak Djokovic advanced to the final of the Paris Masters! The Serbian ace lost the first set to the Russian, but then made a comeback to win 2-1 in sets – 5:7, 7:6, 7:5.

The match started with each side having one break, and then it was evenly contested until the Russian took a 6:5 lead. Djokovic then served to stay in the set but faltered, allowing Rublev to win the set with a new break.

In the second set, Djokovic missed several chances for a break but managed to break his opponent’s resistance in the tiebreak, securing a third deciding set.

Between the second and third sets, Novak sought help and received a massage from the tournament physio to endure the physical strain, as mentioned in our previous report.

In the third set, Djokovic once again proved himself in a dramatic moment of the match. He made a break at 6:5 and thus secured a spot in the final. Interestingly, Rublev made a double fault on the match point, and then even smashed his racket.

Djokovic will play in the final tomorrow against Grigor Dimitrov, who won the first semifinal against Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas with a score of 6:3, 6:7(1), 7:6(3).

On Sunday, the 32-year-old Dimitrov will be aiming for his ninth ATP title in his career, with the last one dating back to 2017, while Djokovic is going for his seventh title.

In addition to potentially winning his seventh title at the Paris Masters, Djokovic can also achieve an incredible 40th trophy in Masters tournaments tomorrow.
