Nikola Jokić pojavio se prvi put u javnosti nakon što je odlučio da ne predstavlja reprezentaciju Srbije na Mundobasketu.
Mnogo se sedmicama unazad pisalo hoće li Jokić biti spreman da povede nacionalni tim daleko na Mundobasketu onako kako je povukao Denver Nuggetse do šampionske titule u NBA ligi.
I ovog ponedjeljka smo dobili odgovor na to pitanje kada ga Pešić nije uvrstio ni na širi spisak reprezentacije za Mundobasket, navodeći da je umoran od duge NBA sezone, te da ne bi mogao da na adekvatan način odgovori velikoj odgovornosti.
Od kada je uzeo titulu u NBA, Nikola odmara, gleda trke konja, putuje, uživa na svadbama i u izlascima i zasluženo daje sebi oduška.
Ovog puta se u javnosti našao na turniru u basketu 3×3 u Somboru, gdje je mirno uživao u igri koju je nekad i sam praktikovao ispred škole. Kako kažu organizatori, dobio je i poseban poster na poklon.
